Doggies got up against Bros this arvo at Scifleet.
Taniela a standout for Bros even with a yellow card for a shoulder charge. Without him not sure how Bros would have scored.
Great day at Scifleet for Doggies old boys day with a a win also in Prem reserves but a last minute loss in Colts
Agree that Ikitau was again outstanding and the reason BBC were in the game. In the last try he again made the space for the right winger to get near the line before the left winger eventually scored.
I guess if you have 4 players suspended from one game you will lead the "cards" numbers
But, whole heartedly agree that if they punch they deserve the red card and the suspension.
Reacting to a taunt, no matter what it is, shows a lack of discipline. They will all need to improve this if they...
I wasn't there so didn't witness anything but was informed by some who were there.
Suffice to say that all boys suspended were Islanders, allegedly reacting to some "colour and body part" comments.
Wests had 4 or 5 boys out of the GPS game due to Uni exams and the backline was disrupted with...
Believe the Wests rumour is correct.
Have 4 boys suspended after Monday's judiciary following an unsavoury incident against GPS Prem Colts the other week, 3 more injured and 2 who have left for interstate after last weeks game.
Only 2/3 starting forwards currently available for Prem Colts
Berrick Barnes also missing from the list as well as Troy Coker and even Nathan Grey started out at the kennel. Peter Slattery as well started out as a Bulldog.
Jack Meadows was definitely a Bulldog after the move from Melbourne.
Jeeps were certainly far too strong even though the doggies created several chances early but couldnt take them.
Jeeps depth is also impressive watching the Colts 1 game. Jayden Rodwell had a barnstorming game and Tuttle distributed cleverly.
The doggies have little depth outside the top 15 so...
Not sure many will make the firsts next year with 11 odd returning next year and a few more very good players from 2nds and 16As available to fill some vacancies.
Could look something like this:
1 Kahn Helms - 2nd XV 2013
2 Bronson Tauakipulu - current 1st XV capt (if he repeats)/??
3 Luke Petersen - current 1st XV
4 Darcy Swain -current 1st XV
5 Dylan Leyland -current 1st XV
6 Kareem Tuuga - current 1st XV
7 Christian Malalau - current 1st XV
8 Ben...
Yes he did. Personally I think 2 or 1 is where he will end up (or maybe 3).
He was strong as usual but given that BBC were sloppy in retaining possession all game and struggled to mount the phases he did not have many attacking opportunities. The space was outside 13 all day!
It is true but I will still back the GWB.
McLean will get a run and Quick will play 12 where he is most effective.
Expect McLean to score a few if BBC can create a little bit of space.
The lineout is the main concern. Saunders seemed to mangle some calls last week even tho he didnt play with...
Some may argue player safety is the main issue around the forfeit if the B team is weak and not physically capable of playing another schools A team.
Can't see this being a reasonable excuse for NC given most of their B teams would smash most of the other schools A teams.
Agree with other...
Nudgee v BBC 16A game in rd2 was very close and an entertaining spectacle due to BBC having players like Palmer and Gunter in the forwards. Gunter monstered the NC forwards and kept BBC in the game.
In the GT v BBC 16A game none of Swain, Palmer or Gunter played for BBC and the forwards left did...
