AIC Rugby 2022

Without a doubt padua seem to lack sparks and size in the backline which could hurt them though the SLC 12 is just another level above everyone there 13 gets made look good because of him

Joe Woods goes alright in his own right. The Lauries 10, 12, 13 are all big boys.
Very good player,be interesting to see if 12 can back it up,he struggled big time in Mal Meninga, not many 18 year olds running around in AIC though...

Any other news on other teams this weekend?
Villanova is lining up to be a smokey this year
only a smokey if they can beat Peters and Ash. Neither will be pushovers. But agree they had a never say die win over Iona who are a good side.

Put a lot of it down to their coach Vik. Eddie Harris (coach) has really bought the group together I've heard, and it seems to be paying dividends. Can't wait to watch Villa again this week against a very tough Peters team.

Ashgrove are a shambles. Could have won today’s game on penalty kicks alone. But every time they got a penalty they either took a quick tap or kicked to touch and attempted a ridiculous rolling maul. Basic skill errors like not being able to catch and pass is an embarrassment. And it was amateur hour when no one from the sideline could even bother getting a kicking tee out for the conversion from their only try.

Need a serious attitude readjustment, no respect for the opposition, turned up and thought they would win!!! Disorganized bunch of individuals have forgotten to play as a team, to busy all trying to make the highlight reel. Lack of leadership on the field, very poor basic skill, no game plan (or certainly not following the coaches instructions). Look like they are still playing under 6's. Credit to SEC, they fought hard all game to stay in it and got the chocolates as a result.

Did I hear correctly that Eddie’s went for uncontested scrums across all open games including First XV yesterday?

I think that is a bit harsh MCA’s captain and vice captain both went off in the first half injured and didn’t return although I do agree they have no respect for the opposition by not taking the points when they are offered of penalties but instead going for 7 which was costly. Not sure what is happening at MCA maybe they need to try bring back D Miles he would have these boys ready before the season to win the comp not sure what’s happening there now not looking good for MCA rugby with the current year 11s a weak grade aswell. Credit to Eddie’s for grinding out a win to go 2-0

They had contested scrums in the Firsts. Was only when their prop got yellow carded did they have 10 minutes of uncontested scrums.
