Any big games or changes this weekend gentlemen?
Rumour at Kedron is fullback Tom Chapman is being moved to 12 as Oskar Weinert is injured. This means young star Jayden Solien aka Jayden Ous will make his Firsts XV debut at 15.

He played against ATC in the trial and showered immense ability scoring a try after a 60m run with many steps in every which direction.... Will be good to see how he matches up against Ethan Travers.

But back to my roots, I hope eddies get up this year. After years of being pushovers, this year might be a well-needed change and with a strong age group in 2023, it might be the boys from Ippy's turn for a stint in the limelight. Saturday was a true testament to how much they wanted it, unwavering grit and persistence for all 70 mins. SLC v SEC will be one to watch and may the best team win. Cheerio.

Very good to see Eddies up there again. They'll need to bring their A game against SLC but I'm sure everyone else is hoping they pull off an upset. The fact they fielded 4 opens teams on Saturday is a testament to the strength of the current year 11/12 cohorts, although results in the 2nds-4ths were a bit one sided on Sat it was still good to see and probably not a fair reflection, see how they go against other schools. I can't remember the time they had more than 2 opens teams. 10's are a worry for them though, not even fielding a B team.

I doubt this will happen, from what i saw at runcorn the Padua fullback was a very small lad, maybe even a grade 10 boy. Moving this boy to 12 would open the gates for plenty of traffic his way. When did Oskar get injured as I noticed he did not even play the game against St Lauries?

He ruptured his ACL at training right before the game against St Lauries... really sad to see. I was also unsure of the swap as the fullback is to be seen as frail so maybe they have other plans and moving Jayden into the centres? Jaydens pretty solid for a 15 year old at around 180-185cm and 70-75kg so he could hold his ground

Jayden Solien WILL NOT replace Oskar. Jayden is firstly, too young and personally my selection group haven't monitored him highly.

Jayden showed us glimpses of Dwayne Bowen and Floyd Aubrey in his short stint in the trial against ATC. Side step, to goosey to a spin for a try. And Brad Thorn... Really? Could've went with something more original

As i personally have floyd in my team, jayden does have some of the same magic feet but I do not believe that he is ready for the big time
