Newington verse Joeys yesterday was quite entertaining. Scoreline didnt really reflect the game as Joeys put on most their points in the last 15 minutes. The prop for Joeys seems very promising and I am not sure why but a boy who made NSW last year didnt play in the A's and ran the tee??

Joeys were completely dominate, would have put more on it they didnt drop so much ball. Both props Tierney Glasson and Max Behan had blinders, keeping Marcus Cutler (NSW 15s) from playing As.

I really liked the look of the Newington no.6. Totally ruthless at time, a strong ball-runner and tough in defence, I think it's safe to say he "put the team on his back." har har har

Keeping a NSW player out of the side is quite an effort, can Marcus not play in another position, looked as though he could play at the back of the scrum.

More of a specialist front rower, simply not performing up to the standard of Behan and Glasson. Huge potential in the kid but

Let's talk about grammar. I think maybe they aren't given enough credit for their chances this season. I have seen a couple of their games this season and their cohesion and fitness has impressed me. Their forward pack, in particular the number 8 7 and 6 looks strong and I hear 7 of the 8 are rowers. In the backs, the five eighth. ( Mackie I think ) looks like he has a lot of potential, as does the #12 and also the fullback has impressed me. The team that used to be so small and boyish compared to teams like Riverview and st Ignatius look to have grown up and my prediction is they won't be the walkover they have been in years past.
P.s and before the hate, I'm not from grammar!! I look forward to the actual season!

i heard he gets around the field very well using his vast knowledge of geography
yes it has been rumoured he makes topographic maps before a game and studies them furtively so he knows every blade of grass. he will be able to come out of nowhere

I'm hearing reports star Scots hooker William Adams has suffered a pretty serious abdominal injury. This comes as terrible news as I was hearing reports he was set to represent Scots in their up coming Goald Coast Tour.Despite narrowly missing out on a GPS oppunity, Adams stared in his Norths team excellent run to the State Championships Grand Final. This opens the door to one player I have praised before, one Chris Noon.Noon has caused all sorts of trouble against quality opposition despite in fact backing up for the Scots D squad. Noon has improved emensly and is looking to fill a huge hole left by Adams in the hooker role despite some heafty competition from one Aidon Brown and Max Mansfield.
