Maybe...but I can't help wondering what prompted him to return to training at Souths? And whether anyone at Norths knew about it. Of course, he'd been training with Souths Colts before Christmas, because he'd apparently been unhappy at Randwick, but then in the New Year he chose to go to Norths..

Its my understanding at the start of the 2016 season Josh Noonan offered his services to Gordon after a game against Randwick. It was on condition he was guaranteed the colts1 halfback position. gordon declined as they were well serviced in the 9 position.

Uni lost colts 2nds and 3rds --- that hasn't happened too often in recent years has it?

I am told 3rds was a cock up. Uni had a penalty in front for the last play of the game. No one was sure of the score and they went for a quick tap. apparently they were only 2 behind and a penalty goal would have won it for them.

Beard

That was correct Badger... the confusion may have come from the Uni manager yelling out 'tap and go' from the sidelines.

It wasn't the last play but certainly in the last 5 minutes.

They'll be offering more scholarships in Maths rather then arts/photography this week.

Anyone doing any write ups on the Colts games?
Watched the 3 colts games at concord and wicks colts performed well with a lot of speed and fitness in their teams. However these teams may well not be the same your watching next week as the gen blue boys are set to return.

You may see 1st players being moved to 2nds and 2nds being moved to 3rds and maybe some 3rd not even getting a look-in next week. I've heard that the wicks have about 75-80 colts with, tell me if im wrong, 69 positions available. So there might be a few UN happy campers next week. Early days but i predict that a few ambitious plays might be thinking about moving clubs to forward their rugby careers. Let hope the recruitment at Randwick doesn't backfire on them and they lose too many solid players to other teams with less stars in them.

Do they still have the transfer rules where you have to get a clearance and have paid your dues?
Why would we hope that Randwick's recruitment doesn't backfire? Several learned posters have been pointing out the stupidity of their blitzkrieg approach to recruitment for some time: it deserves to backfire - thats the only way some people learn.
There's the good of the game to consider, after all.

IS do you think Randwick care about the good of the game?
Let's hope the points system is set up and ready to go as it will be interesting to see how they fit under the 40 points in Colts 1 and 35 in Colts 2.

Agree, he provided a great service with the Jarseometer, or maybe SRU could get their latest software fixed...
. Looking forward to seeing the outcomes of the points system. Would be a couple of nervous clubs if an injury replacement is required during a game. Nothing like living on the edge ;););)

It either says a lot a lot for Randwick's depth or for the points system that you have 3 players from the 2016 Nationals in 3rds and another 3 in 2nds. Or both.
