Wallabies 2023

Was he the real reason behind any of Eddie's successes too?
Ryan is probably too experienced and qualified, that's a problem - far too much of an independent voice, strong-minded coach for Eddie to consider him for the role, knowing Eddie he'll probably get some obscure rugby league player who's only just retired a few years earlier coming on board - only because he'll be too inexperienced and submissive to have the self-confidence to put forward dissenting views.

However a more optimistic - although an extremely unlikely outcome... would see a diverse coaching group consisting of respected individuals: Glenn Ella (England backs 2016), Jason Ryles (England skills 2020), Dan McKellar, Laurie Fisher, Dan Palmer.

Same city, same kick off time, and same Wallaby coach as last Wallaby win in NZ WOB.
That's right, mate. Now you only need Matt Burke, George Gregan, Stephen Larkham, John Eales, Owen Finegan, Andrew Walker, Joe Roff, George Smith and Michael Foley at their prime and that's all. Easy peasy lemon squeezy

I don’t think there would be any conflict of interest or care from NZRL is helped out. As an assistant at the Raiders he can help develop talent of other countries as is.

Different tier of nation but Chieka coached Lebanon at the last RLWC whilst still being with the Argies in Union.

Even though England lost so say what you will. Kevin Sinfield was in their coaches box. Also a League stalwart. The sports have more and more transferable skills, especially in the backs and I do think a lot comes from the Polynesian style of direct play which tends to be the same in both games.
Then you see Andy Farrell coaching the best rugby team in the world at the moment and David Kidwell doing a great job in Pumas defence. Why not a succesfull NRL coach can success in RA?

Jason Ryles is respected?

First outing did not look all that wonderful.
He's since added another 2 outstanding coaches to his backroom staff, Richard Wigglesworth and S&C coach Aled Walters.

England could possibly be World Cup favourites with Aled Walters on board - he was critical towards Boks 2019 campaign.

If the SMH are correct it'll be an all-Brumbies staff: Jones, McKellar, Hewatt, Fisher, Palmer. Just as I predicted a month earlier.
Jones - played for NSW, coached QLD and Brumbies
McKellar - played for QLD, coached in QLD and at the Brumbies
Hewat - Schooled in QLD, played in QLD, played for Waratahs, coached Brumbies
Lawrie Fisher - Played in ACT, played (and studied) in QLD, coached Brumbies
Dan Palmer - played for Melbourne (ARC), Waratahs and Brumbies, coached Brumbies.

Well well well. The 2nd Bledisloe cup match is being played in Dunedin, do we remember the last time the Wallabies won a test in NZ? Dunedin 2001 and I believe the coach was one Eddis Jones, admittedly that game was at the old house of pain.........but :D

Just thought I would make your day fellas!

We only won because the ‘House of Pain’ was Eddie’s assistant, but it retired cause Eddie was too mean to it, yet another EJ (Eddie Jones) casualty

Just imagine if Eddie gets Michael Maguire...

Born in Canberra, played for the Raiders in their glory years... and has recently been hired by them as a consultant.

Wayne Smith is going to have an aneurism.
