Tomane played about 20 mins of the ACT XV game and came off with some discomfort near his injured ankle.

Rathbone is still a few weeks away.

Could see A Smith starting on the right wing this week.

Sadly, team rehab starting to gain more players. ALready there is Pocock, Lealiifano, Auelua and Rathbone.

Now add Speight and Power. Also in danger of joining are Scott Sio and JP Smith.

Injury update: Henry Speight had a double fracture of the jaw and underwent surgery today.

Scott Sio is in a moonboot and is unlikely this weekend.

Leon Power is still being assessed and a decision for this weekend will be made tomorrow.

JP Smith trained and should be OK.

Theres a few options in the backs for replacements which I guess is a good thing. Joe Tomane is a chance to come back.

I'm assuming you guys will just roll out Joe Roff, Bill Young and Justin Harrison as replacements for Speight, Sio and Power?

Under 20 Championships to be held at Viking Park in Canberra. Game days are Saturday 22nd, Monday 24th, Wednesday 26th March.

Under 20's squad: http://www.brumbies.com.au/News/Art...-players-picked-for-Combined-States-team.aspx

Draw: http://www.rugby.com.au/Portals/18/Files/Playing/National U20 Championship/2014 National U20 Draw_Final.pdf

Very little promotion or information available.

Be a good event to go and support the local....oh wait.....how stupid of me to think the ARU wouldn't schedule it up against Brumbies home game while its in Canberra! Genius!

I have to ask why at least one of these games is not the curtain raiser for the Brumbies, or even better another one as the curtain raiser in Sydney on Friday night!

Just wondering if the ARU is still to work out that if no ones knows about it no one will turn up = no $$$$$$ and there's always that risk that that ARU want to avoid - exposing the game to people, or dare we say it... publicity.

that's very disappointing and somewhat confusing to be honest.

It is a little of both, but am suspicious we may be seeing a trend or "under current" emerging. There seems to be a few Wallabies or "maybe" Wallabies wondering about randomly finding greener pastures unexpectedly. But they aren't the money type or those that would compromise their integrity. They would also be what most supporters would consider WC material, but it seems that this far out from the WC they can see something that nullifies it as a potential draw card.

One who subscribes to a good conspiracy theory may by now be wondering what can they see in the future, have experienced or have knowledge of that is influencing their decisions?

Farmers will tell you that when you lose a sheep or two regularly it usually a sign there is a wolf about.

I think it is about the money despite these players not being the 'money type'.

They've had a crack in Australia and shown loyalty to particular teams but eventually they make a decision that they need to cash in on their career before it's too late.

I don't see Kimlin re-signing with Grenoble as being a sign of anything other than the fact that he's enjoying his time in France and the salary that comes with it.

They've been very impressed with him and they should be, from the little of what I saw he's playing the same footy he was in 2013 for the Brumbies which was outstanding. I'm guessing they offered him a lot, they're an ambitious club with deep pockets (now).

Maybe with White not there anymore and the money available up north he decided to stay put considering the amount of backrowers going around ATM.

Is there a lot of back rowers going around at the moment though?

Mowen's heading overseas, McMenimen's heading overseas, Potgeiter is the starting blindside in NSW, Quirk and Shatz aren't looking like a test back-rowers, and our best Wallaby blindside from 2013 is playing lock.

Sure Palu and McCalman are in form, Higgers shines in some matches, but for me the back row is looking very precarious with the RWC only 18months away, we are only an injury or two away from posting a below test standard back row IMO.
