All Yesterdays are history. Today is a new day.

When it comes to successes in Trans Tasman Sport, NZ Rugby Team = Australian Cricket Team, NZ Cricket Team = Australian Rugby Team.

The NZ Rugby Team & Australian Cricket Team expect to win, the NZ Cricket Team & Australian Rugby Team hope to win.

Looks like a cracker day in the Big A, seeing plenty of Beige Brigade shirts in the crowd & don't your Tony & our John make a lovely pair of PM's. Holy shit I swear I just saw TA singing the last coupla lines of God Defend New Zealand, wifey has learned him good, eh?

Given his reputation, Warner's average (35) & strike rate (85) are surprisingly low........

Southee's first over takes 8 balls & goes for 15, last ball should've been 4 wides not 4 byes so coulda been worse I s'pose...........

About to find out if Boult can do any better....... yeah, nah, Warner smashes the first ball for 6. Suddenly finishing mowing the lawn is looking like a good option.......... 24/0 after 2.

Southee's 7th legal delivery goes for 6, 8th goes through Finch & takes out middle & off, 30/1 in the 3rd.

Watson first drop, this could be interesting. Has better average & Super Rugby than Warner, BTW. Gets a full-toss first up & clips it for 4. Southee's all over the fucking place like a GC taxi driver with a broken GPS.......... it's called MIDDLE STUMP, CHAMP!

Right now we're more like the NZ Residents XIIII v the mid-80's Kangaroos.

Aussie run-rate has plummeted from 12 to 9.6! Time to give Vettori a roll?

Yes it is. Big risk but can't be worse than keeping Southee on........... first over takes approx 45 seconds & concedes 2, that's much more like it: 9 more exactly like that, please, Daniel.

Run-rate continues plummeting, now a mere 6.8!

Why the fuck are we giving Warner almost as many short balls (19%, apparently) as full ones (23%)? Given how short the boundaries are that makes no sense at all.

Dan 0/8 into his 3rd over - nice work, need him to keep it up. Seems to be bowling as many seam-up cutters as cross-seam spinners these days, looking more & more like Chris Harris but with more hair.

Oh crap, Southee's back. This could go really bad. Starts with a wide. 7-for v England looks a long time ago........

Watson holes out, c: Southee b: Vettori 23, Aus teetering at 80/2 after 13 :)

Warner lbw Southee next ball, looks gone for all money unless too high. Just above the knee rolls but he was a fair way back. Umpire's call so onya bike, 80/3 & Aus in all sorts........ some bloke called Smith comes out to join some other bloke called Clarke, rumour has it they can both bat a bit but it's not like either of them are Shane Watson, is it?

94/3 at drinks, Southee's figures now 2/50 off 6 so a good recovery but still bowling way too short and/ or wide, they just replayed his 7-for v Poms & every ball was full & all but 1 straight. Go figure.

Smith gooooooone, c: Ronchi b: Vettori 4, Aus staring into the abyss at 94/4. I've revised my score prediction down somewhat, was 500/3 after 10, now a much more achievable 300/8.

Potential problem is that we've only used 3 bowlers thus far & Boult has just replaced Southee so Anderson for starters has to be brought on soon...........

Maxwell plays on, 96/5 & the slide continues............. 5/17 after being 80/1. Haddin now out there, bugger will probably smash 120.

Some awful lack of footwork and application by a few players here in the face of some good swing and spin bowling; in fact, all of them so far, maybe except Warner. This will be ugly for the Aussies after the washout draw.

104/7, Clarke slaps Boult straight to Williamson at short, kinda square cover. The rout continues! It's all happening, as Bill Lawry would say.

Now, about that decision to bat first...

Not even angry. The Aussie odds are going to be fantastic after this game!

I still reckon the Kiwi's are overrated and won't stand a chance at the MCG.

And I reckon you're dead right but fuck I'm enjoying this, more so if we somehow manage to not fuck it up :)

Johnson goooone, 106/8, Williamson takes a really sharp one at short cover.

Shit, one of Elliott, Milne or Anderson may not get a bowl at this rate.......

Holy fuck, Starc cleaned out by Boult, 106/9 & may I remind you I started calling the slide at around 70/1, it was THAT obviously gonna happen :) :)

Loving the Fox comms trying to get their heads around what's happening...... Smithy should really be rubbing their noses in it a bit more, tho. Get Rigger Richardson in there, stat!

$64K question: can we finish Aussie off for less than what the Poms got in Wellywood?

I'm with you, light, very bitter Watson's position in the side isn't put under considerably more scrutiny.
