Amos & Scott Williams are being talked of as "long-term injured" fullback Liam Williams is the only one to have any hope (maybe remote depending on medical assessment).
There's talk that Gareth Anscombe & Eli Walker who were both ruled out by injury at various times could be close to fitness though. Although that won't help us at centre.
Dunno why don't we play an entire backline of half backs. Almost finished that way

Cuthberts barely looked up to Pro12 rugby since the Lions tour, playing him out of position at international level would be a big mistake.

This still doesn't make sense.

If Garces is a knob and and the AR can recognize a poor bind from 50 metres like a goddam sniper, why can't an AR recognize Marler turning sideways at a scrum like the rest of us non-snipers?

One of these things is not like the other.

You're right, it makes no sense - particuarly when the French emphasise staying square so much and the penalties relate to the scrum twisting.

My take on it is that they're just not looking at the LHP's role in all of this.

Of concern for us should be that the AR on the English LH side was Poite.

Well England will be really fired up for yews, if they should beat u that would make you really fired up for us,
Any way we have to beat Fiji first and with a 5 day turnaround that's not going to be easy,
More injuries Priestland 15, north centre, Eli Walker I think is fit so he goes to the wing.
As for the 3/4 on the bench, need to go to the nearest Cardiff bar and get some,

So the backline would be Davies, biggar, jaw, ook, north, cuthbert priestland. Leaving anscombe and brynmors boy plus an other on the bench. Simple innit. Two scrum halves and four 10s out of 10

What a fuck up with the pools though. The teams ranked 2, 3 and 4 all in the same pool.

At the time of the draw, they were ranked 3, 5 and 9. It looks pretty well done to me, based on that.

You can't have the draw the week before the tournament starts, lol.

Crom, count the dead.

Gatland claims critics of their pre-RWC fitness training were "so wrong" because they won.

Paul Stridgeon is a respected fitness trainer, but I don't think Gatland recognizes that the criticism is because there are so many soft-tissue injuries occurring, not that Wales can't play 80 minutes with their heads on straight. I know it's all would'ves and could'ves, but you have to wonder how Wales might be going right now if they'd brought in Stridgeon and just gone back to Spala and the cryotherapy, instead of trying to top the last pre-tournament fitness by incorporating alpine and desert training.

Australia will tell the story.

EDIT: Stridgeon was England's S&C coach in 2011. Anyone know what their injury profile was like?
