how will the suspension of many members of King's last season 1st Jun 8 and 2nd Jun 8 affect their shed? To miss out on training at such a critical time seems to be highly disadvantageous to the TKS Rowing Shed.

Just a rumour. However, there is hearsay from the grapevine that their coach, Julian Huxley, will get them out of the suspension.

Interesting, Kings being strong favorite's and only a few 1st VIII Rowers returning you would think that they would need all of the training time they could get.

Wouldn't say strong favorites to be honest, Shore, View and Joeys are hard contenders. Although I have only seen Kings and Shore on the water, so i cannot comment.

Saw Shore in the sculls, and Kings in the 8, and a pair going with Anton Theil. Ive heard that the Shore will be going into the fours and eights this afternoon although, jist is that the other schools will follow shortly.

You would have to assume Year 11’s that were in the 1st VIII that are continuing into this year are the strongest. That would be my suggestion.

Apparently there have been whispers over whether Isaac Fonua will return given his commitments to Rugby, and word on this?

I believe he has chosen to pursue his rugby.

I must say, I think is going to be one of the weaker Shore crews that we have seen, with no returning Rowers from last Years 1st VIII, and the 2nd VIII coming 4th coupled with the loss of the Junior Pennant and a poor showing from the First Year 10 VIII. Will be interesting to see if they can turn it around

Wow, would be a big blow for Grammar, who actually started out the year in the Year 10 VIII's very strongly. Riverview continuing to make upgrades in their title defence.
