Force with some nice backline play. Rebels defence is up to it, though.

SNK then throws a shocking wobbling pass a metre forward. Another league scrum to restart, 3 to go.

Saffy makes a strong break, gets to 15 out, Higgers takes it on and earns an advantage. Reid tries to force a pass that's not on to Higgers, and they go back to the penalty.

Penalty is 10 out, 5 in front touch. Rebels will take a shot with 2 minutes to go. This should eat up the remaining time.

Lots of jeers from the crowd. Ref gives JOC (James O'Connor) a time warning.

JOC (James O'Connor) misses to the right. Last play will be the 22 restart from the Force, with 30 seconds to go.

Restart is too deep, Rebels take it on the 45 and run it back to 40m out. A few sloppy passes later and they are driven back to 40m out from their own line. With 5 seconds to go the Rebels give away a penalty for diving over to seal off their own ruck.

Hooter goes. Force have to take the tap. They drive to 25, and go wide to Tupou who gets within the 22m. Rebels defence is holding as the Force go nowhere for a lot of phases. Up to the 18th phase and the Force knock on still 22m out. Sidey kicks to touch.

Game over!

Rebels win 30 - 23.

Rebels deserved the win there. Was an interesting enough match, but it was marked by too many unforced errors from both teams. What sparked the match were some moments of brilliance, particularly from the Rebels backs.

The injuries picked up by the Force will be worrying, as their paper thin depth is going to be sorely tested.

If the Force have lost Mafi, it's a huge tragedy. He's their only really penetrative back.

I'm excited to see how we go this week. This game will actually tell us more accurately where the Force really are under Foleys tutelage. The Force have a habit of losing the games they should win (Kings). They only play to a level they think they need to beat the other team and when the other team the turn up they get smacked

It's like i'm psychic or something.

I am sick of loosing to inferior teams on bullshit trys. Typical Rebels performance. ....ball bounces off someones knee then ankle into the hands...try. Kick ball goes sideways....fullback falls over try. What a load of shit.

I think that is some liberal use of the word inferior Moona....

Both teams looked like they didn't want or know how to win it

A good win for the rebels coming off a couple of sorry weeks. I hope this lifts their spirits. When they click, they are an entertaining side (like last year against the crusaders and the bulls).

Terrible attitude.

If a team beats you, they're not "inferior". The Rebels did a lot of good work to ensure that the bit of luck that went their way was enough to win. I won't suggest they are perfect but dismissing a loss as "luck" and then ragging on the other team is poor poor form.

The Kingi try came from a JOC (James O'Connor) forward pass too, but they didn't check it.

But, no excuses. It always happens to the Force because they aren't good enough to take the bounce of the ball out of the game. Look at the difference between the ball carries after the siren by the Kings and the shit that the Force served up tonight. The Kings carried with venom and purpose. The Force looked like they were just trucking it up because that is what they are paid to do. No passion or urgency.

Don't kid yourself. The Force are a team of nobodies and they play like it. The Rebels are in no respects inferior to the Force.

Tonight I wont countenance any argument. The Rebels scored bullshit trys. They always do. Our team isnt perfect and I've let them know. Can I say fuck a few more times mods.... so fucking frustrated. At least the stadium looks good.

Let's just settle down a bit.

You lost, and you are pissed. Just remember though, there is no such thing as a bullshit try in the laws of rugby.

The tries were legitimate and well worked. Some luck, yes, but that's sport.

Perhaps you should point your frustration at your team, rather than the opposition who did nothing but play to the rules and win fairly.

And frankly, I would suggest that the history between the Force and the Rebels tells a very different picture to who the "inferior" team is, compared to the thought you have.
