Also,

I have seen the discussion taking place here re drugs at Nudgee. It is a very sensitive situation, considering that it is still in the hands of police AND it involves minors.

There are plenty of legal quagmires and we don't want to be involved with any of it. So any posts discussing this incident will be deleted.

We will keep this thread discussing RUGBY only.

Thanks.

Anyone has a possible line up for IGS 1st XV?
No line up yet, but last years second string coach in charge this year!! With Mr Hislop moving on I was hoping for new coaching staff. Word on the hill last year players had no time for Charles.

Nudgee thumped by St Kentigerns 45-7 in the semi-final yesterday afternoon, letting in 7 tries. St Kent's to take on Hartpury College from England in the grand final in 3 hours time.

I'd have to say that based on what I've seen in this thread and in the 15A's and 16A's last year, my top three would be NC, TSS and BSHS.

I know from an Ippy Grammar perspective, they have Landon Hayes and Carlin Anderson repeating; as well as Dallas Flanagan (prop) from NSW, Izack Rodda (second row NSW) and Dylan Gale (front row NSW). Latham Takau has left Ippy Grammar and decided to repeat year 12 over in Auckland at King's College.

Buying players will only get you so far. Can't help but feel sorry for St. Edmunds (AIC) for losing two of their best players, Harley and Izaia (no. 13). Mack Mason will go well in the GPS (had played 1st XV at Downlands since year 9). Team still looks really good though, and should contend for the title.

BGS are also looking particularly strong with a new winger (Junior GC Titan) who plays a lot like speedster Matt Marsden and a new inside centre as (apparently a Junior Bronco). Zac Laud to push into the tight five so I hear. Where will guys like Trey Kemp (QLD u16) and Harry Egan (JGS) fit into the team?

Nudgee, TSS and Churchie to fight it out for the premiership. BSHS to be wooden spooners again.

I'd have Ben at 8, pretty sure he's been there for the past few trial games and replace the 9. Can't pass and heavily relies on grass cutting than making a proper tackle. No Panochini and the new 2nd row over james, hasn't made an impact even at line out time. Not to sure how well BSHS will go this year, the talent is there but BSHS lack in depth and effort.

TSS and NC to fight it out this year!

Kalauta Kupu apparantely not playing this year ? would be a massive loss. if he does play, place strachan at 9. pretty solid back line but may lack the effort. few players who played most of firsts last year in both the forward and back line.

agree. But we are yet to see Mack Mason who spent 3 years in the firsts at Downlands and is now at churchie. (not sure if year 11 or 12)

Third is coming off an injury interrupted season last year and should prove the best this year.
