This is the strongest testament yet to Dan McKellar's abilities as a coach. Top of the table, only dropped one game, and yet only a single player in the entire 23 (and justifiably so).

Also an endorsement of my existing view of Brad Thorn; excellent at training players, dreadful at coaching a team.

Not sure on what basis you’d pick Pete Samu this week, Slim. 6 carries for 3m gained. Dempsey 17 for 47m, Isi 15 for 25m.

Yep if you’re going no.8 this week Dempsey was the clear best player of the group.

Some non negotiables this week for me would be

3. HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes)
7. Hooper
8. Dempsey
12. To'omua
15. Banks
24. Tom Banks Vaseline Supplier

Anything less and I think it just shows some blinkers on for people

I thought Banks was ok against mediocre opposition, most of his run metres were running it back from kicks. Plus the shininess of his legs is suspect. Maddocks v Hodge was a much more genuine contest for mine, so that one is certainly a negotiable IMO.

I’d have to rewatch it, I just looked them up as I didn’t even notice he was playing. I use the Union Live app, I’m not sure where they get theirs from.
