Everyone seems to forget that Reiko wanted to play 13 (where he has always played as a youngster) this year and Tana had said he needed him on wing, he is actually a centre playing on the wing usually, not the other way around.
I know you being lighthearted zer0, but actually in NZ we actually move centres out a lot more than moving fullbacks in, and before anyone mentions Cullen, he was a centre that got moved to fullback, and then back to centre.

How do the Chiefs get away with the level of slowing the ball in the ruck that they do? Kiwis OK with it?

I always smile when I read a comment like this about a team, if you haven't got the ball, your whole object as an opposition in a ruck should be to slow the other team's ball, every team tries to do it!

So that would be "yes we're happy with it". There is slowing down the ruck and there comes a point where it is excessive. I read the kiwi teams as generally more positive than this.

One of the more bizarre things I've read on here dru. You expect people to be disappointed that a team plays effective, winning rugby?

Oh dear. No I don’t. I see the Kiwi teams as playing very positive rugby but did not think this of the Chiefs. So I was interested to hear the Kiwi fan read on it: Read into it as you will.

Seems I have my answer anyway.

So do you think only NZ teams try and slow the ball at a ruck dru? Really? Why do you think opposition players arrive at a ruck and try and move bodies around? Generally to stop other team getting quick clean ball, all teams do it. The general rule for any player should be, if you can't win the ball in a lineout, maul , ruck etc is to slow the opposition's ball down, it is not in anyway negative. I agree that it shouldn't be done illegally , but to say noone should do it is crazy to say the least . And to be fair dru ,I only one kiwi fan that is saying it, but I do know generally my Aussie mates who follow the game think you should be in contesting all the time so that the ball is just not left there on a platter.

Quite interested to see how Falcon goes again this week, he was ok at 10 last week and imagine took a bit of worry off Coopers mind.
