Take your pick - AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Horne, Carter - none of them pass the ball worth a pinch of shit. Bulls defensive planning gets easier. Just line up, you know where they'll run.

Probably not.... but neither will any of the bulls players!... Actually come to think of it his defence has been pretty poor lately too.

But having said that he has been a great international player, he's just in poor form at the moment. Im sure he has the ability to step-up this week and play at the level we know he can and I believe his distribution skills are getting better also (but id rather him at 13, and Horne at 12). So lets hope he's in a passing mood, and if not im sure he will be able to at least get over the gain line and give the Tahs some front foot ball.

In fairness to him, he (AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)) hasn't really been given a consistent run in one position. He's a quality player and should be given the opportunity to specialise in one position. Not convinced that should be at 12 though. He should be given a consistent run at either 13 or 15 IMO.

To win this one the Tah's need to take a leaf out of the rebels' playbook from last week (Who'd a thunk we'd be saying that so early on??) and push the Bulls boys back through the ruck fringes, then find someone to finish with a little bit of pace. No, I'm not exactly sure where that will come from, but maybe Sarel will give them the spark they need.

Then they have to make their tackles, and a bit better than the reb's did. Will need to be better with their discipline too

...furthermore, with the talk of Beale possibly playing 10 for the Wallabies at least in the June tests, who is likely to play 15?

With regards to AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), he can't go through his entire career being a Mr-Fix-It... he needs a proper run of games in one spot to build continuity in the backline. I would pick him at 13 as I think there are quicker options for the Tah's and Wallabies at 11, 14 and 15

If Beale plays 10, I would guess AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is the most likely to play 15.

I don't think Mogg is about to become the Wallabies 15 despite an excellent season.

In June you'd have to pick Jesse Mogg. After that? Not sure... Wouldn't be surprised to see Luke Morahan vs Scotland, despite his crappy form to date

More likely they will go with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) as pointed out by Braveheart I would think. Maybe too early to throw Mogg into a starting Test position after a few strong Super Rugby appearances. Would make sense for AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to spend more time at 15 if this was the case. Would Deans or TT have any influence on selection at Super Rugby level?

You're both probably right... was thinking that Mogg or Morahan mostly for the game vs Scotland, Morahan only on the basis of having the bye the week beforehand.

for wales and onwards? who knows? and while Totality may well be already coaching the Super Sides for all I know, it doesn't seem that anyone at Super level listens to Deans. pretty much the same as at International level

Mogg doesn't look physically up to playing at test level, yet, especially against Wales.

Is it just me or does anyone else think Horne and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) should be lining up the other way around?

you obviously forget the history we have of playing people out of position, whether it's centre's, props, backrowers...

Yep, I don't quite understand the role AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) will be playing.
He definitely does not play the Kiwi 2nd 5 type of a ball playing12, and while he runs a good unders line at 13 & 15 he is not really a crash balling 12.
I think his selection at 12 reflects the feeling about the lack of structure in the Tahs backline ATM

AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) played one of his best test matches ever at 12 against Wales (I think) a few years ago.

I won't be surprised to see Hangers at 12 in attack

Tahs team

15. Daniel Halangahu (Sydney University)
14. Tom Kingston (Sydney University)
13. Rob Horne (Southern Districts)
12. Adam Ashley-Cooper (Northern Suburbs)
11. Atieli Pakalani (Southern Districts)
10. Berrick Barnes (Sydney University), vice captain
9. Sarel Pretorius (Gordon)
8. Wycliff Palu (Manly)
7. Chris Alcock (Eastwood)
6. Rocky Elsom (Randwick), captain
5. Kane Douglas (Southern Districts)
4. Dean Mumm (Sydney University)
3. Sekope Kepu (Randwick)
2. John Ulugia (Southern Districts)
1. Benn Robinson (Eastwood)

Replacements
16. John Mann-Rea (Manly)
17. Jeremy Tilse (Sydney University)
18. Sitaleki Timani (Southern Districts)
19. Lopeti Timani (Southern Districts)
20. Dave Dennis (Sydney University)
21. Brendan McKibbin (Eastern Suburbs)
22. Tom Carter (Sydney University)

As expected, the uncontracted Betham makes way for the return of Horne in the XV and Kingston goes back to wing. Pretorius takes over from McKibbin despite the latter's good goal kicking. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) moves to 12 and Carter is dropped to the bench. Halangahu takes Carter's spot in the XV and plays fullback.

Alcock is back replacing Jenkins. Sita Timani goes back to the bench after being clumsy at lineout time last week.

Dennis gets rested and Rocky starts as was known a few days ago and Ulugia comes from the bench to replace TPN His bench spot is taken by Mann-Rea, a real Tahs blast from the past. Roberson had been shadowing a few weeks ago.

That and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at 12 are surprises. I've seen him play there in the past and with no great distinction. [And if you were talking about the game against Wales in 2007 in Sydney fatprop; I beg to differ with your assessment.]

More changes to the changes?!?! Still, something has to be done and there is little to lose.

Uhhhh so why did they not just put Halangahu at 10, Barnes at 12?
Why was Dennis and Timani dropped aswell? I don't think this is the time to be resting players when you need to win every game from here in.
