Round 5: Waratahs v Rebels SCG 1945 Saturday 19/3/22

Dctarget

Tim Horan (67)
Watched on mute, what happened to To'omua and why wasn't Grant penalised for head high on Vaihu? Bloke didn't bend over at all.

I think that’s a bit much, he was literally in tears.

I don’t think any profession should have an expectation that you end in tears.
You lose a big game of club footy or school footy and lads are devastated. It’s because they care. Do I like seeing him upset? No, not at all, but am I glad to see that he cares and has passion for the club? Yes.

Was watching while out on mobile on mute in and out during the match. Looked tight game and rebels fronted up. Line out fluffs at the end maybe not helping rebels but regardless looked much improved. Waratahs getting getting the win leaves them well placed.

Nah. What it is, is pissweak of you to take your frustration out on feeling good about his devastation. Saying “good, I’m glad your gutted” is not the same thing as standing with him like his teammates did. They aren’t saying stop caring, but they aren’t rubbing his nose in it either.

Yeah - by the same token maybe we should give Rebel Man a break. If you’ve followed the last few weeks he clearly is invested in the team and is hurting. He’s clarified that he isn’t celebrating the fact that he was crying, just glad to see a player showing he cares. In that context is his comment really that bad?

Went to the Force game and seeing the blokes joking and laughing after the game is a bad look. I get everyone handles a lose differently but having a joke on the field is terrible optics

It wasn’t all of the lads and with the bench jackets on it’s hard to tell who it was.

I wasn’t even aware he was crying, I put the lions power on at the final whistle and just responded to people saying he looked shattered

You make a comment online I find pissweak. What and I supposed to do? Ask for an address to respond in person? Get over yourself. It was a dumb comment on the context of how CG was feeling after the game. If you weren’t aware he was in tears. Fine. Acknowledge your error and move on. Taking the whole “keyboard warrior” angle is just deflection.
