There’s some pretty great footage of the Aussie 7s teams cleaning up the field of streamers and confetti etc post final ceremony from the weekend.

So disgusted with what is happening with Putin and Ukraine situation that feel need to make my own stand. Ie decided won’t watch or support any event involving Russian teams Ie sevens immediate candidate for me where won’t watch 7s if Russian women (mens team not part of series following relegation) involved. At least unless this situation in Ukraine resolved. Be interesting to see what world rugby does in response to this.

Its kind of started, world rugby are not playing any games in Russia. Georgia didn't play Saturday night & the Dutch not going this weekend.

NZ men's team named for Singapore features five rookies including Eric Rush's son Brady.

"Leroy Carter, Moses Leo, Caleb Tangitau and Kitona Vai are the four other uncapped players in the squad.

"Sam Dickson will captain the side, with regular skipper Scott Curry unavailable while playing in Japan, and Tim Mikkelson missing due to injury.

All Blacks Sevens: Sam Dickson (c), Leroy Carter, Dylan Collier, Trael Joass, Andrew Knewstubb, Moses Leo, Tone Ng Shiu, Akuila Rokolisoa, Brady Rush, Caleb Tangitau, Kitiona Vai, Regan Ware, Joe Webber."

Only 13 named, have they dropped the travelling reserves from two to one?

Pools etc info here:

Aus in Pool B with England, Spain & Samoa. NZ in C with Argentina, Scotland & Wales.

NZ men about to play their first game in God knows how long v Argentina who are currently second in the Series standings. Expecting a loss, just hope it's not a total disaster & they can build on it.

Edit: snuck a 12-10 win so very happy with that.

How long till Corey Toole gets a super contract. He's a jet. Also Gonzalez on debut is pretty solid.

QF1 2:28 AEST Aus v Arg, winner plays SA or Fiji
Qf3 3:12 NZ v Samoa, winner plays USA or Ireland (who beat Fiji so can't be written off)

i usually just vpn into a country that has no coverage so youtube should work to get the full days replay. The oz team was a bit scratchy for the first 2 games but the Poms made them look good in the last game. Gonzo looks good for a first series - got some serious wheels.
