I don't like whinging about the officials but I thought that the rub of the green largely went against the Rebels.

Fortunately, there were many positives in the Rebels' performance that saw them justifiably prevail. Great touches by Mortlock (although his pass in the lead up to Phipps' try looked forward) that led to both their 2nd half tries.

The Rebels' intent to play attacking rugby was evident from the get go. The link that Beale provided to get their backline in motion was everything that's missing fromt the Tahs' season.

A Rebels' director told me yesterday to put my $ on the Rebels for an upset & I had the audacity to laugh.

ha. You can keep your back-handed compliments to yourself.

it wasn't meant the way you seemed to have read it. what I meant was: Rebels played very well, Crusaders played pretty badly. Was I suppose to say "super amazing effort against an awesome team!"? Reality is that the Crusaders were pretty dire, but that's not taking away anything from the Rebels' performance

The Rebels put the pressure on the Crusaders and made them look average.

What a win. What a second half.

Just Wow. The Rebels continued on from their game against the Bulls last week, which then was the best game they had played. Huge commendations for them to continue on in the second half despite the blatant infringing from the Crusaders as usual not getting blown in the first half. The scrums in particular were an absolute joke with Crocket hinging, boring and not binding. on any scrum.

Waratahs take note - the ball is passed in front of the moving attackers who work hard and back up. Even a busted old crock like Morty can back up FFS. Second when they kick they chase and the kicks can actualy be contested or go into touch. 1000% better than anything the Tahs have produced for two years and this is a team of discards, old crocks and ringins. Just brilliant.

Robbie Deans take note if you in your infinite wisdom want to play a kick and defend game plan again, select Gerrard at 15 to kick the ball. Is there anybody in Oz who can kick as far or as accurately.

Honest question is it beyond the realms of possibility that the Rebels could finish above the Tahs on the Oz table. I think they will certainly finish above the Force. Tah have a tour now and I think they will struggle to take away a single point from their games away.

Nah, what you originally said was fine, the saders played pretty poorly. But it's an interesting question... Was it that they just played crap, or was it the way the rebels played that made the saders play poorly?

I think the Rebels just went to a level of 'want' in the last 20 that the crusaders just didn't come equipped for...
