    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

Yeah you'd think he wouldn't do stuff like that, then he goes ahead and does things like that!

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

I agree, I don't think Cheika is the coach to take such a risk. If you go with the 6/2 split it's viable to have him and Simmons in the 23 and worse case push Tui back into the row if it's not working out. Regardless of his form Tui was a good lock last year. But I think Rodda and Coleman are...

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

I'm not so sure that Tui can't beat out Samu. I think you've gotta start Timu, that 20 minuet stint for the Reds last week sealed the starting jersey. The question is then Tui or Samu, I haven't genuinely watched Samu enough to make that call, especially considering as others have pointed out...

    Reds 2018

Can Perese kick? I've not ever seen him kick, but that's probably the only string he doesn't have to his bow. I honestly don't think kicking should be our priority right now. This time next season yes, but our first best priority should be playing good rugby, if we lose games this season (or...

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

I don't recall him being a first choice for the Crusaders. I see the most likely outcome for Samu is him being used as a bench player. He'll get a cap off the bench, not be up to it, then never used again. Like so many before him.

Daugunu is a proficient kicker; one of our current young wingers will hopefully move to 15. But I'm quite sure Stewart probably wouldn't have a night kicking that poorly for a long time.

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

I'm not saying Stats are shit, I'm just saying we need to keep in mind what they are telling us, and what conclusions we are drawing from them. Where we have a 10% difference between the best and worst teams, and are working off less than 200 throws (I think like 205 for the Lions, and 135 for...

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

See I thought this was interesting, until I dug into the numbers (Link). The Reds (10th) are still within 5% of the Waratahs (2nd). To give context are talking about around 10 throws (if my maths is correct, I don't trust it as far as I can throw it but I think it's correct). The Brumbies have...

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

I was saying it while Simmons was at the Reds, and think it now that he's moved to the Waratahs too. But suffice it to say I'm very sure Simmons isn't out pushing Rodda in a scrum, and while it might be closer with Coleman I am doubtful on that one too. I don't think anyone (maybe other than...

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

As a lock no doubt, but as a 6 it's close.

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

Maybe the best lineout lock, I'm quite sure he does nothing in the scrum, too often his side goes backwards, very fast! Rodda and Coleman give infinitely more go forward in the scrum and aren't much worse in the lineout.

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

Settle down, were not talking about Dean Mumm! Simmons has been going okay, he's no worse than Hanigan.

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

I say he's marginally better than Timu at best. Could look at ASY (Angus Scott-Young) or Wright both are 195ish and proficient line-out jumpers but they aren't ready for Test Rugby yet, maybe next year. Wells could be an option, I was hoping for Holloway to have stepped up this season, sadly. Maybe one of the...

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

If that's the back row we're running we've gotta play Tupou at 6, otherwise we'll never make the gain line!

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

Sure Timu isn't Fardy/Simmons/Hanigan, but he's not inept, he's good enough to be a third option, he was jumping a lot more in the NRC.

    Wallabies squad for Ireland series

I would say with Rodda and Coleman (mix in Simmons off the bench) Timu is likely to be enough of a lineout option. While he's still figuring it out having come across from League he's got pretty good instincts and natural ability for it.

Australia v Ireland, Sat 9th June @ 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

Yeah, I actually should have had Kuridrani at 13 and Rona at 12, but I just call it like I see it. We wouldn't be short on go forward meaning the ball carrying Kerevi would give isn't as valuable as the defence that Kuridrani would bring, mix in Beale at 15, and you've got a decent backline.

Australia v Ireland, Sat 9th June @ 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

My prediction for the named 23 is: Sio, BPA, Tupou Coleman, Rodda Pocock, Hooper, Timu Genia, Foley Beale, Kuridrani Koroibete, Folau, DHP Fainga’a, AAA, Kepu, Simmons, Tui, Samu, Phipps, Hodge. The side I would pick is: Sio, BPA, Tupou Coleman, Rodda Pocock, Hooper, Timu Genia, Foley...

    Reds 2018

Seriously, I think some of you need to look at the trajectory Queensland rugby is on, look at the other states, and the ARU and reassess your views on the QRU. Sure they aren't perfict, but I think given the circumstances the QRU have done a decent job. The Waratahs dispite having all the favour...
