I'll have a crack at Div 5:

Blacktown v Dukes - at home the Warriors will be different to the 13 they had turn up at Wills last week. Dukes also struggling.

Sea Lice v Canterbury - this will be a close one but I think the Berries might just out-enthuse their opponents.

Kings v Oatley - 2nd vs 6th. Should be a good game but Oatley are on a mission to hunt down Burraneer.

Convicts v Balmain - looking for the muzzled wolves to push into a top 6 spot here with a solid win.

Burraneer v Maccabi - they're undefeated for a reason. Maccabi have some points in them but might not be enough.

Anyone seen the Waverley Walrus or has he also migrated overseas to escape the cold?

Mosman have already forfeited to St Pats. Will Waverley follow suit against Hunters Hill?

Confirmed.

Div 3 Round 10 Preview

Sydney Harlequins v Knox - Match of the round for sure here, both teams coming off great wins and finals placings all to play for. Both sides will be looking to come away with the points and go a long way to sealing finals footy. Got a feeling about Knox in this one, they've been in good form for a while now. I'll take Knox by 3.

Old Barker v Sydney Harbour - Two week break for Barker but face a tough assignment at home against a hungry Sydney Harbour outfit. The fresh legs will keep this one close for a while but expect Harbour to be too much in the end. Sydney Harbour by 12

Manly Savers v Old Ignatians - Last chance of a W for Manly will see them fire up for this one. Savers by 1!

Div 1 Round 9 Preview

Drummoyne - Blue Mountains. Wow, another tricky game to predict. I will go with Blueys as I feel they will want this one to continue top of the table. That said, Drummoyne on its day could trouble anyone. Blueys by 5

Mosman - St Pats. Mosman aren't as strong as they have been in recent years, but still should be able to take this game at home. St Pats effort and skill do not match their position on the table. I can see St Pats nabbing 1-2 games before the end of the season. Mosman by 3

Colleagues - Forest - This will be as good as the next game. Forest have improved from last year and more consistent since the start of the year. I still feel a trip to Woollahra might be just beyond Forest. Colleagues always strong in the back half of the year. Colleagues by 7

Waverley - HH. No Colts wont impact the grade games. Games starting later should make for a good day. Waverley still have a strong first grade squad and this is a finals game come early. I feel we will still come away with a win. The rain last night and this morning, hopefully has softened up that pitch. If not - Stay clear. HH by 7

May as well give it a crack seeing Div 2 not done

Div 2 Round 10 predictions:

Hawkesbury Valley v Lindfield. This should be a tough trip for Lindfield but they will be fired up to issue a statement after a flat performance against UNSW. Valley at home will be up for this but Lindfield should pull away in the second half. Lindfield by 21.

Newport v Hills. Could end up being match of the round. Newport dished out a lesson in the 1st round at Hills and Hills will be wanting to return serve. With Newport depleted of a number of players in 1st grade this should be a tight one. Hills by 7.

Epping v UNSW. Another juicy match up. Epping on their day are very dangerous and expect them to be on their game at home. UNSW will be hurting after letting one slip against Lindfield and if they play with the same level of intensity should snag the W. UNSW by 10.

3x Away Wins. Could be a first and last shot at Round predictions

Think Knox deserve a lot of credit for this season. Considering this time last year they were struggling to even get a first grade side together and copping their fair share of stick. A healthy number of colts from their successful season last year have hung around and performing well in first grade this year on top of some great recruitments.

It can take clubs a couple of seasons to rebuild but for them to be performing this well as a club so quickly is quite impressive. On top of the table in colts and 1st and 2nd grade clicking at the business end of the season and are definitely contenders.

3 washes in a row (two of which away from home) going for a 4th in a row on their ladies day against a really struggling Barker outfit. Could be watching Knox in all 3 fixtures come grand final day.

Credit to them for rebuilding the right way. They’ve done well this season, would like to see how they go against Beecroft and Sydney Harbour again before making any grand final claims though. Colts side are definitely favourites at the moment.

Yep they've certainly gone back to first principles and hope it builds from there.

Makes me wonder about the nature of "Old Boys" clubs and why they aren't stronger.

Had a look at a bit of div 4 action tonight and geez how’s the sour grapes from some of the Merrylands players after losing to Rockdale? Screams of a mid-season implosion.

From all reports a good committed group with no egos. Harbour and Beecroft still looking like the two outfits to beat but it’s set up for an interesting finish.
Some huge results in Div 1 worth discussing though.. Blueys and Hunters Hill showing cracks in the armour? Blue giants finding form? Any match reports?

Huge win for the Breakers on Saturday against Hills with the Newport faithful turning up in big numbers to get the boys home. A converted try with 9 mins to go saw the Breakers hit the front 22-19 and they then defended for the their lives with Hills throwing the kitchen sink at them on their line.
