Disagree. There's a way to say that a player is no longer required without tipping a bucket on them. That's what leadership looks like.
His whole coaching career EJ (Eddie Jones) has projected the image of a small (not in stature, but in character), petty, vindictive individual with a big mouth and a glass jaw. He's achieved good, even great results in stages of his career but his behaviour since becoming Wallaby coach a second time round has diminished both him and the Wallabies.
Someone is always stuck with a coach they don't want. When it comes down to it, Jones is probably in the top five coaches in the world. Any coach we get is a almost certainly a step down, so excuse my if I don't care about your feels.
Hooper was better than Liam FN Gill when they were competing for the jersey. But, Hooper hasn't been in that kind of form for years.
Let's agree to disagree. But, try not to disrespectful towards public figures. It's against the forum rules.

I reckon Hoopers form peaked in 2021 when he was nominated for world player of the year and then fell award pretty hard after that.

It’s pretty obvious the WC was a deliberate sabotage job. Not calling up injury replacements while we were still alive is criminal.

Slightly bizarre criticism. Skelton and Tupou got injured right before the Fiji match and due back after the pool stages - unless you think we should have sent them home and bought others in for Wales lol. Not sure it would have been very cost effective to bring in a Jorgensen replacement either when there was a chance whoever it was would only have played against Portugal.

If Portugal had scored an extra try the team was without replacements for Jorgo, Frost and Gordon. So he gave up. Pretty grim.

Sure, it’s only a theory.
To me it’s pretty obvious he wanted the Japan job all along but didn’t want to miss the WC; he is the “specialist” after all.
The guy was literally saying he was only doing to the WC in May. His mind was elsewhere the whole time.
After it became clear mid-TRC he was too far behind it was a blow up troll job. Maybe because he holds a grudge from 05. Maybe because he didn’t get the alignment stuff he wanted. For sure he used it as a “free bet” - as he now claims the youth policy is a long-term play (which he conveniently won’t be around to see through). A bit like Nick Kyrigos - a loss seems less bad if you say you’re not really trying
Regardless, the team that fronted up against Wales was basically uncoached and the squad was not fit for (any) purpose.

Obviously new coach needs to come in but it will be interesting to see how Eddies' youngsters and favoured sons will be looked at by an incoming coach. There's a lot about the thinking behind a number of those selections which makes sense when removed from practical reality of the form and injury runs of certain blokes.
