    Western Force 2013

John Grant has injured his shoulder since signing & now requires surgery...unlikely to make it to Perth now

    Western Force 2013

and toward the end of the season he was mainly sat on the bench, or not selected at all. Pretty disheartening for a young bloke with so much potential.

    Western Force 2013

Live in a small town...there is always goss to be heard, particularly about a local boy!

    Western Force 2013

I have heard that The Force have signed John Grant; formerly of Eastwood & more recently of West Tigers. A pretty speedy outside back for them!

    RMC vs HAC

Brought back memories of some pretty wild times! We girls used to love it when the Duntroon boys came up, way back in the dark ages of the early 80's! Do they still have those incredibly ugly blood and mustard blazers that we wore with such pride?

Digby Ioane with suspected broken hand

Most likely scaphoid, which is not good. Really difficult to heal, my son was in plaster for 12 weeks with a # scaphoid. Specialists were not keen to operate on it, but in saying that, it may have been because he is only 16 and (unfortunately)not a Professional athlete.

    WC favourites

Just an observation, but no team that has beaten the All Blacks ( prior to the final) at a RWC has ever gone on to win the Cup! It is the curse of the All Blacks!

    Rocky Elsom at Halftime??

I often wonder about that; his jersey always seems too short. I think he must have a very long back!

    Singing the Anthem

I did notice that the All Blacks were actually singing theirs, which they often don't.

The reason JOC (James O'Connor) was absent from the RWC squad announcement...

They were probably fighting over the x-box controllers. Hopefully Team Management have learnt their lesson and will in the future pack a few spares!

The reason JOC (James O'Connor) was absent from the RWC squad announcement...

If I were James Horwill, I would make JO'C sit down and read this thread. Explaining to him first, that the contributors are all passionate Wallabies fans, and this is what they think of him.Or alternatively, get Wayne Bennett ( or even Steve Waugh) to come in and talk to the squad to motivate...

The reason JOC (James O'Connor) was absent from the RWC squad announcement...

I would imagine that QANTAS would not be happy; one of the most high profile players in the game not turning up for their, no doubt, costly promotion of their sponsorship of the team. A few months ago, JO'C was talking about his 'brand' and making an idiot of himself in the process, well QANTAS...

John Grant signs with Wests Tigers

John played the Sevens circuit this last season, but was dropped after the Samoa game in Hong Kong, and was not selected again. He was not injured.it is unfortunate that he did not have the skill set that the selectors wanted, as the extra room in Sevens could have suited his pace and...

John Grant signs with Wests Tigers

Hi mighty python, hopefully one day he will be playing for the Mighty Pythons! James played in Orange on the weekend, and so the Pythons may get a good ten years out of John after he retires!

John Grant signs with Wests Tigers

After finishing his apprenticeship last year, John took this year off to concentrate on his rugby. With no offers on the table from the Provinces he had to make a decision. Apparently within an hour of agreeing to go to West Tigers he got a call from the Brumbies asking if he would train with them!

    Shute Shield 2011

Yes, there will be nowhere to hide on a league field, and I don't know how Much he will enjoy being tackled in league, where (to me at least) the tackles seem to be more aggressive.

    Shute Shield 2011

As my name suggests, I come from the same town as John, and can assure you it is true. It is anticipated that it will take him a while to get used to league, as he has not really played since primary school, he will be playing in the backs, not necessarily as a wing or full back.
