We've seen in previous years how well the CAS selectors know the boys from Waverley College so I wouldn't worry about a lack of recognition from that side.

Hi Snort,
I do agree given the circumstances neither match was entirely suprising... The dichotomy between St. Gregory's league and side has steadily widened and shows no sign of slowing, despite efforts to allow boys to play both.
I think Cranbrook has been a spot unlucky this year so far...
Did hear about this Roach (11). Watched him on the weekend… showed athleticism and size but didn’t really bring as much as I had expected. Hoping Cranbrook can pull something out of the bag for next week against Riverview, and maybe something later in the year as it looks like quite the open...
How about in the 2nd XV? I think in the 1st game it will be a clear CAS victory, however much tighter in the 2nds game.
I see the CAS forward pack dominating, driven by Jack Black and Sartena, and the GPS back line just edging the CAS. I wonder if they will slide Flanagan off his wing at any...
I think his prediction for Aloys to come in 6th comes off the fact they lost last year calling for NON-CONTESTED scrums in their own first XV... I'm sure some of the older fella's in the forum can agree we haven't seen anything like that in some time. Whilst Aloy's may have had an upset in...
Anyone have a predicted Knox 15? I'm sure we will see the return of stellar fullback Luke Tucker and flanker Charlie Herdman. I think Knox might surprise a few, but hard to go against a Waverley team that has never lost in this age group....
Goosie, please don't forget about Darcy Benefield (2nd XV Openside Flanker) excellent over the ball and great runner, gave Cranners and Knox a good battle in the breakdown. I think no.6 will be a fight but I have Benefield winning.

The only thing I dislike about all of this talk about creating a more fair league is a loss of this heart on the crest attitude, that Aloys so well exemplifies . Players are surely going to be less inclined to put their body on the line as there is no CAS or GPS trophy on the line. I...
Another angle of the trip from WaveCol, I know it is hard to see but you can see the big 18 and Barkers 7s conflict. Waverley is a bit unfortunate to get a yellow here, not that it mattered in the end.

Very excited to see Barker's scrum against Waverley's impressively heavy pack. Where Barker has an extremely impressive front row, whereas the weight of Waverley's entire pack might have 5 or 6 kilos on them. Watching clips from last weeks matchup, the open side flanker for Waverley, not sure of...
