Let's hope the energy sapping heat (they already had a mandatory drinks break half way thru first half) will affect the Saffies more than us.

Yellow card . ooh almost..

I cant imagine the break will help with trying to maintain a tempo :/ I'm not at the ground, but I cant imagine it being hot enough to really require a break?

Australia lucky not to concede more than two tries before ht, but also should have had one at least themselves!

Paia'aua definitely the best player in gold today, Placid was very dangerous but again held on to the ball a little too much instead of making the pass.

Player that have been overlooked
Jack McCalman and Hamish Dunbar may not be as big as the boys that were picked definitely have the ticker and the ability to play at top speed for the full 80 min
Nick Kellaway
Mitch short should definitely be in at number nine
I would have always put Devan Stoltz at 12 with Henty Hukhinson on his outside
I believe all of these boys would be very disappointed this morning watching the game
congratulations to the boys for a outstanding effort, South Africa was always going to difficult side to defeat.

Still confused. Why fly out a "replacement" halfback for finals if both halfbacks are fit enough to be named in the match day 23 against the Saffers?

Squirrel no. 4 advises that Nucifora was in doubt and the third halfback had to be flown over in case.

Squirrel no 3 says that Redden is on his way to replace Quick.

Lukhan has a sore neck/shoulder and may be right for the next game.

Lolo is on the way home, and Wilkin popped the same shoulder as he did for Oz schools at Knox v. NZ two years ago, which should end his tournament.

Olly Kamp may get a run after all.

He passed twice, usefully, when he could have hogged; I know, it surprised me too.

Played well; done good.

The dominance of the JBok forwards, and the front foot ball supplied (and denied) was expected. What was more disappointing was the soft first try and some at the end, which did not owe much to the superiority of their forwards in the scoring movement.

Channel 502 tomorrow:

12.23 (AM) England v France
2.23 Samoa v Italy
4.23 South Africa v AUSTRALIA

Replays same channel, same order at 4.00 PM, 5.30 & 7.00

Disappointed NZ's match not being shown, IIRC Ireland beat us to the semis last year so good chance to make ammends.
Nz game was shown
Apologies if already mentioned somewhere else
505 had game live

Having a bunny in their pool who leaked 172 points (26 Tries against) allows the Soap Dodgers (15 Tries For, 54 points difference) to sneak ahead of the Men in Gold (11 Tries For, -5 Points difference) with both teams locked on 10 Points. The Pool B bunny only conceded 14 tries and had a -55 points difference.

To the victor, the spoils with the sins of the father being visited upon the sons. The previous years Jnr RWC seeding is critical to current years team prospects in terms of shaping which Pool you are in and and who the opponents will be in that pool.
