    Reds 2014

If JOC (James O'Connor) understands and accepts his new standing in Australian rugby, he would be a great signing. His last contract he held an open cheque, now he must realise he could just be the 30th player to fill a team...

Wallabies: Latest Injuries and selection for Test 2

You could justify playing JOC (James O'Connor) on a wing with Digby missing. Digby comes infield 10+ times a game looking for the ball, if JOC (James O'Connor) did that then that could well work out well.

Wallabies: Latest Injuries and selection for Test 2

Not spruiking Morahan for 2nd test (though I am a fan)... Has he gone to Russia with the 7s yet?

Wallabies: Latest Injuries and selection for Test 2

So does Gill (the only form/fit 7) of the last 8 weeks miss out now because Smith is back? I'd argue that Gill is harder on the ball now that Smith uses his wiles a bit more to impact less often, but with greater impact. Not that it will ever happen, and Hooper had a decent game at 7, but I...

Wallabies: Latest Injuries and selection for Test 2

JOC (James O'Connor) looked like a boy playing among men last night. A 10 who can find penetrating runners would be particularly useful. Also thought that it wouldn't be the worst if Digby was unable to play - he looked very one dimensional. Morahan/Tomane would be a safer option.

    Grats Quade

Not all leadership styles mean yelling at players and psyching them up. What about in the dressing room when QC (Quade Cooper) is having quiet words to Frisby and on the field reassuring and encouraging the forwards after getting punished in the set piece? Despite the small bits of pump-up footage to the...

99 Call - who are our provincial biff merchants vs the Lions?

Quirk, Daley, Davies could all have a crack this weekend. None will be needed for the next 3 weeks anyway...

    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

I'm a big fan of Folau as a bloke. But the Wallabies jersey should be saved for people who will grow into it/hold onto it. Digby, Barnes etc have earned the right of playing one more tour in it before they disappear.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2013

A few to JWC, a couple of solid players in wade and V finger moved clubs, some older blokes not around (preo, guy Shepherdson) and a few injuries will do it. They never really replaced the players who stepped up into super in 2010/2011 either... (Lance, Prior, Kuridrani, Cox)

    Reds 2013

I remember Ewen McKenzie writing last year about how a successful team has 35-40 Super Rugby ready players... I don't know if the Reds really have 30 this year. The JWC is always awkwardly timed too, so players who could be with the squad full time are being shipped all over the country to...

Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

Although at no stage should a penalty have been given in that set of scrums. It was just painful because it was the last five minutes. On field leadership was to blame for the Tahs at the end. poor time management.

Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

Thoughts: Tahs scrum is brilliant (TH win!!!) Hooper showing why he is a must in the Wallabies 22. Horne and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) playing the best game I've ever seen them next to each other. Timani is playing loose but is the guy they are looking for when they need tight metres. Not too sure about...
