I'd be giving easts a little more respect than that.

If you look at their form over the last month since they got demolished by 59-0 souths:

    Def Wests away 29-19
    Def Norths away 47-18
    Def Sunnybank home 31-28
    Loss to Brothers away 28-22

That's not the worse form coming into this match and considering they're playing at home, I'd except it to be close. Still uni to win by 10 but much closer than you're expecting PPRugby

    Brother to win at bond
West’s to beat an improving Norths
UQ getting more backrowers back this week so by quite a lot unless Easts can make it scrappy
Souths to beat Sunnybank in the match of the round.

    - Flourie from Souths is in and out of Premier Grade would out preform both hookers mentioned
    - East number 10 and 4 are both playing well
    - West number 9 is also in the mix
    - Torah is currently playing Premier grade for UQ
    - Suemalo and Hill have both played prem grade for UQ this year and did a great job
    - Tom Van Der Schief back from injury this week for UQ
    - As some one mentioned above hopefully common sense prevails as Kirk and Jeans have under preformed but previous achievements may get them in the door - Christian from UQ has outplayed them both thus far.

Ralston, Gordan, Whiteside will play NRC

    The Round of Redemption

    Bond v Brothers - Brothers 5+
Last time they played Brothers defeated Bond by 50pts, last chance of redemption for Bond expect a bit of fire in the belly for this game.

    Souths v Bank - Bank 5+
Can Souths avenge their only loss of the season? The Bank are well matched size wise so Souths direct style of footy utilising their big boys may not be as effective against the Bank. Expecting the Bank to get over the line in another close game.

    UQ v Easts - UQ 20+
East have been underestimated the past few weeks, if UQ do the same they may find themselves in trouble. I expect it to be a close for most of the game, however I do think the flood gates will open in the 2nd half with UQ running away with it.

    Norths v West’s - West’s 25+
After getting pumped by Souths a few weeks ago you would expect West to come out firing, unfortunately I dont see to much resistance coming from Norths and expect West to win convincingly.

The current Colts talent is quite impressive looking forward. Looking at an all rounded player with skill, elusiveness, fitness and rugby IQ is see the following players moving into NRC this year and at worse case next year. My favourite forward is Will Roach. There is so much Pocock about him it is ridiculous. Engelbrecht under the right coaching will be a name that we will see more regularly. Tom VDS whilst being injured for the season so far, it a talent waiting to explode. I really hope he comes back tomorrow with confidence.
In the backs, Josh Flook is a player that I think haven’t even touched on his potential. I would also throw Carroll into the same box. Carter Gordon is just at a whole new level. I watched that kid play for QLD Country 5 years ago and thought he is going to be a superstar with a rugby IQ that was beyond his age. Then there is Ralston, I can’t wait to see his future. Exciting times ahead.

That’s a huge turnaround if Norths beat West’s like the Rugby app is saying.

I see a lot of chat about the strength Uni brings. Just quietly does anyone rate Souths? For me personally I think they’re, starting to come into stride and I think they’ll be good enough to finish on top.

They virtually recruited a whole new team they should be favourites to win it - they have more Junior Wallabie Open Squad/Australian School Boys/QLD URC players than any other team. However for a large junior club it’s sad to see very little of their Juniors transition into Colts 1 because of the heavy recruitment at Colts 1 Level. I was told only one player in their current 15 is a Souths junior. In saying that if you can recruit better players why not I suppose.

Souths definitely have the forward pack to finish on top. Thought they lacked fitness when I saw them play in the first half of the season, were very good for the first 20 mins , but faded quite dramatically as the game went on. Get them firing for the full 70 minutes and they will be very hard to beat.

V Lea is a weapon , need to get him the ball .

They seem to be a lot fitter now then start if the season, their forwards outmuscled and outplayed Sunnybank on the weekend from what I heard, and were missing Lea I think

I think the forwards from Sunnybank would disagree it was the best game of colts I have seen this year. 3 tries a piece and was only a pen in it. One of the Sunnybank forwards went off injured and played no further part. Lea played Prem grade I would suggest if the beat Brothers the worst they can finish is second. If they beat Brothers and UQ the following weekend the minor prem is theirs to lose.
Based on weekend results and the grapevine. My top 4 has not changed
    Souths
    UQ
    Sunnybank
    Brothers.
The next two weeks will determine order.

I would say the Sunnybank backs looks better from what I saw, especially the 15 and Samu who was back from premier grade! But the Souths forwards dominated the scrums and contact area, especially the front row

Did Tom Van Der Schief play for UQ on the weekend?

He went on midway through the 1st half due to injury change - he looked shell shocked with the pace of the game and seemed lost at times which you would expect after being out for so long, hopefully he finds his feet over the next few weeks.

I feel as though Lea might be a little overrated. I definitely think he’s okay, but there are more talented wingers out there. Defensively is a liability, also can he kick?

As a brothers supporter I expect you'll see how "overrated" he is this weekend on Saturday. I watched via the online stream the prem grade games from the weekend, and his first touch he ran straight through and set up a try for their no 8. Rarely is ever tackled one on one.

Just out of curiosity, which wingers would you think are at or around his level? The only one I can think of is Ralston, nd not sure who'd be under these two on the pecking order

The Souths brothers game will be an absolute cracker this weekend! Some good head to heads will be fun to watch, the battle of the 10’s (cross and leerenvelt), wingers (Lea And Carrol, 2nd rowers (McDonald and stocker) and the front row, particularly the 2 hookers

Souths without Villiami Lea = Brothers for the win

For old mate who said Lea is overrated, Souths Colts have won a lot of games off the back of individual tries from this monster. I can’t stand those grubby magpies but give credit where credit is due he’s a great player and underrated not overrated.

I agree with how dominant Lea is, but to say they can’t win without him is pretty rough considering how they have gone all season

I suppose the proof is in the pudding, I can only judge what I see - Lea scored 2 individual tries against UQ result 10 all draw - if Lea didn’t play that game it was all over rover UQ for the win. He was also the difference in the Brothers win.

Can they beat Brothers without him..I don’t think so, hopefully Lea stays in Prem grade so we can find out.
