    QLD GPS Rugby 2016

Got sent this today. Some high quality schoolboy rugby on display with a few QLD GPS boys taking their part. For Australia, Pelu (3) from Newington and Plummer (10) for the Kiwis were standouts.

Gee its a funny old tournament when BSHS (1st) suffer a loss to IGS (6th) who lose to BGS (9th) on Saturday. Congrats to the BGS lads, very easy option to just stick your heads in the sands.

Ben Meehan who currently plays for the Melbourne Rebels started his schooling at Terrace then moved to Nudgee before graduating at BSHS.

haha.. Fair point and I'm on your side with that one. Just thought it'd be interesting to see the magnitude in the difference of schoolboys turned professional/semi professional athletes between GPS/AIC thats all. Cheers.

Impressive, cheers for the list King. Just out of curiosity, how many AIC boys are getting amongst it?

1.34 seconds in. It was never a winning try, pass clearly went about a metre forward. Even if it was a legal pass, Edwards would have had to run the fastest 80m of his life!

I'm glad someone finally said it! Couldn't agree more, he's an outstanding player who even has kicking duties to find touch of penalties. Not bad for a No.8. One of his best attributes is his leadership role in the forward pack. Constantly barking orders for players to get into position and for...

Wow, you've got to feel for the poor old downlandians. Would have been a very different story if Mack and Harley were still there. "Police reported well-behaved crowds" - Surely another first in the history books!

Interesting to note that Churchies victory on the weekend broke their 14-year hoodoo with TSS. Yes, 14 years! If Nudgee get up against terrace on the weekend it will mark a decade of butcher stripe dominance. Any news on the Downlands v TGS bullfight?

Really? With only 3 grade 11 players in this years firsts and a weak/small U16's age group I'm thinking they are going to struggle. Some big men are lacking in the forwards. It will be interesting to see how Dr Carrol from St Pat's who takes the role of principal next year influences the schools...

Big turn around from BBC, off memory the last time terrace visited toowong they only lost one game. But to be honest, I think this forum needs to stop drawing attention to the two schools, especially after they have both had very lacklustre seasons in 1st XV level. ACGS'S win over TSS pretty...

Great to see Harley Fox being selected for Aus Schoolboys, well deserved. He had an absolute blinder against Nudgee on the weekend with a man of the match performance IMO. On a side not, the NC'S brains trust need to get their logistical side sorted out for next weeks clash against TSS...

I know this a sensitive issue but could anyone here care to explain how Hiale Roycroft is deemed to be effectively less elegible to play firsts footy as a student brought in during term 2 of 2013 then all the other students brought in on scholarships at the commencement of this year? Can...

From the looks of it ACGS and NC will be strong. Although there is big hype around BBC's "miraculous" 15A team who were wooden spooners last year, they will be without three critical players in Bronson(assuming he isn't repeating),Russel and Bowen. Wouldn't surprise me if BGS recruited half a...
